Public Media Institute (PMI) is an independent media & cultural nonprofit in Chicago. We build and take care of shared infrastructure like free magazines, community radio stations, artist shops, regional coalitions, cultural centers and festivals. PMI is part of the Buddy System, a network of nonprofit and for profit platforms helping each other out in Chicago’s Bridgeport neighborhood and beyond.
